Red Sea
Executive search website re-design for international development, humanitarian aid, and climate change
Red Sea is a global executive search consultancy working across international development, humanitarian aid, and climate change. They approached us to refresh their website with a cleaner, more modern and mission-aligned visual identity that would better reflect their values and global presence.

Brief Goals
- Re-energise the visual style with more white space, softened UI components, and a lighter, more human tone.
- Retain their existing brand palette while exploring bolder applications like expanding the use of accent colours and adding optimistic, climate-conscious imagery.
- Create a sense of integrity, trust, and longevity. They've been operating since 2018, with consultants working globally across the UK, Africa, the Middle East, and North America.
- Speak directly to humanitarian and sustainability-focused organisations, maintaining a politically neutral and inclusive tone.
- Ensure a clean, professional layout, particularly for sector pages and job listings.
My Contribution
- Delivered a refined and on-trend layout system with rounded containers and modular cards that adapt well to mobile, simplifying the user experience.
- Created image compositions and visual storytelling throughout the site using imagery that reflects Red Sea's focus areas: sustainability, diversity, and global cooperation.
- Applied the brand colour palette in brighter, more engaging ways, experimenting with contrasts, overlays, and bold typographic treatments to highlight key content.
- Introduced a subtle layer of graphic interest using the patterns on their logo, with custom section backgrounds and careful image placement to avoid visual fatigue while reinforcing the brand voice.
- Supported a clear split between clients and candidates, improving navigation and conversion points across the site.
Before

This redesign helped Red Sea shift from a traditionally corporate look into a fresh, value-led and globally aware digital presence, aligning the visual language with the work they do and the organisations they serve.
